Cranberry
Proanthocyanidins from cranberry. A 2026 systematic review went through the controlled trials in dogs and cats and found no clear benefit in dogs and too little data in cats. We list cranberry products but do not rate their amounts.
Why this grade: A randomised placebo-controlled trial in dogs found no difference in bacteria in the urine (Olby et al. 2017). A systematic review covering dogs and cats (Weese 2026) reaches the same conclusion as the human literature: no measurable benefit.

Why there is no amount here
The research uses an extract standardised for its proanthocyanidin content. Labels declare cranberry powder instead, with that content undeclared. The two numbers are not comparable, and comparing them would make the amount in the product look better supported than it is.
