Pure psyllium husk. The maker doses in teaspoons and states the density alongside: 30 g is 70 ml. A quarter teaspoon is therefore about 0.5 g, a tenth of the amount in the cat trial.

Basis of the reference: Keller et al. 2024, kontrollierte Crossover-Studie mit neun gesunden Katzen: eine feste Ration von 85 g Trockenfutter am Tag mit 5,67 % Flohsamenschalen (die Studie nennt das Futter rund 6 %), also rund 4,8 g je Katze und Tag, veränderte Häufigkeit, Menge und Feuchte des Kots messbar. Die Menge steht so in der Studie und ist nicht aus einem Futteranteil geschätzt.
Worth knowing: Always give with plenty of water, or the husks swell in the gut instead of the bowl. Feed a little apart from tablets, as the gel can delay their uptake.
