Basis of the reference: Feste Tagesmenge von rund 2 Mrd. KBE, wie sie Bybee et al. 2011 (JVIM 25:856, PubMed 21689152) gab: etwa 1 g Enterococcus faecium SF68 am Tag, im Labor mit 2,1 x 10^9 KBE je Gramm gemessen. Dieselbe doppelblinde, placebokontrollierte Studie mit 182 Hunden fand beim Hund keinen Effekt; kleinere Studien zu akutem Durchfall berichten eine kürzere Dauer. Die Menge ist belegt, der Nutzen beim Hund nicht.
Why there is no amount here: Studies state the amount as a share of the ration rather than per kg of body weight, and they range from under 100 mg to over 4 g a day. No per-kilo figure can be derived from that for an individual animal.
