Ingredients per serving
Basis of the reference: Gebräuchliche veterinärmedizinische Tagesmenge von 100 bis 200 mg je kg Körpergewicht, wie sie Arzneimittelmonographien für DL-Methionin beim Hund angeben. Gemessen wird daran allein der Harn-pH-Wert: Methionin wird zu Schwefelsäure abgebaut und über den Harn ausgeschieden. Die Zahl sagt, ab wann der pH-Wert sich überhaupt bewegt, und nichts darüber, ob das für ein bestimmtes Tier sinnvoll ist.
Worth knowing: Do not add it on top of a food already formulated to lower urine pH: together they overshoot easily. Urine pH belongs measured rather than guessed, and that is a job for a vet.
